The intimate project is the second project. I personally thought it was the hardest topic to work on because I couldn't really pinpoint the meaning of "intimacy" in the way that I want. However, I chose to create a photography piece which complicated things even further because it is very difficult to find the right photo to express the message you're trying to put through. Therefore, I created a series of photographs instead of only using one. In this set of photographs, I am trying to portray a girl who doesn't strive to stand out in the crowd, however, in a world where people's main objective is to steal other people's spotlight, the girl is unfortunately the person who stands out instead. I chose to inspect body parts which indicate intimacy such as eyes, lips, and feet from a model (my friend) who I find to have the most "personal" personality. I also got inspirations from two brilliant photographers/bloggers, Oana Befort and Lali Masriera. This project definitely made me learned the hard way that doing photography art is not as easy as it seems at all.
